Playground Preachers, (P.G.P), is a youth music Christian ministry formed from a community outreach program in San Diego, California.  The parent organization is called Gods New Army of Love/Heartsoldiers, directed by Nicolas Shivers. The focus of this ministry is to guide and encourage young people to become positive and productive citizens.   PGP utilizes creative outlets such as music, personal development and the love of God through Jesus Christ.  Some of these youth come from single parent families and live in underrepresented communities; making it likely that their chances of succeeding are limited.   This program hopes to improve their chance of success and deter them from a life of drugs, crime, violence and other negativity.
